Potluck - Usually held at the New Crowley Lake Community Center (next
to the Crowley Lake general store), the Mammoth
Lakes Branch Library, or at the White Mountain Research Station, 3000 East Line St.
(3 miles east of Highway 395), Bishop. Third Tuesday at 6:30 PM. Bring
a dish for 6-8 and non-disposable dinnerware. Those who cannot attend
the dinner may wish to come for the program at 7:30 PM.
JUNE 17 Potluck & Social 6:30 PM
New Crowley Lake Community Ctr
(next to Crowley Lake Store) Program 7 :30 PM - "Challenges Facing the Management of our National Forests" with Jim Upchurch Forest Supervisor Inyo National Forest. This is an opportunity for ROL members to meet
our new Forest Supervisor, hear his perspectives on the
challenges facing the Forest Service nationally and
ask some questions about our local issues.

Please bring an appetizer or desert. If you like,
bring a non-alcoholic drink. Potlucks are
not allowed in the new library. Program 7:30 PM - "North Africa from Cairo to Casablanca" with Rick Jali Sierra Club Member and Traveler Extradinaire. Join Rick as he takes us on a photo tour across the exotic lands
of North Africa.

Happy New Year!
A significant storm came in the day and night of RoL's holiday party, December 18.
It was difficult to drive through the streets of Mammoth Lakes to get to John and Nancy Peterson Walter's home. However, eighteen hardy Sierra Club members braved the snow, unplowed streets, and the cold to attend a warm and welcoming evening at the Walter's. Thank you, John and Nancy for graciously hosting the party. We enjoyed bountiful and delicious food and very interesting conversation.
