Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. - John Muir

GREAT PROJECT at hand – Installing & painting Blue Diamonds on our trails!

Last year we completed the Blue Diamond X-C ski Route from the Scenic Loop Road over the Knolls to the Visitor’s Center. We installed missing BD’s & painted old ones.  Everyone had a great time with the project which was approved by the USFS.

This summer we want to complete other routes until all the historic old routes are up again.  We work in teams climbing ladders, with hammers & paint. It is not hard but you need to be in shape to participate. The Sierra Club needs to indemnify the Forest Service, so we must make sure participants are in sound health & able to do the work.

Please contact Mary K (760-934-0355), mkp@npgcable.com for additional information.
