Snowshoe Donner Pass. Join us for a moderately paced snowshoe in the Donner Pass area. Our location will be determined by snow and weather conditions. Plan on approximately 6-7 miles with a minimum of 1,000 foot of gain. Leaders will provide first-hand knowledge of this region. Observe flora and fauna. Snowshoe experience required. Trip limit 14. Hot Springs/Cold Nights. See the hot springs in the Black Rock Desert area and other sights in the Gerlach area, possible access to the famous Fly Geyser. Learn about this fascinating desert region from a

Buckland Station south of Silver Springs Day Hike. Celebrate the return of Daylight Time. This 8 mile loop day hike on flat ground will start at historic Buckland Station, proceed downstream along the Carson River enjoying the riparian habitat. Return on segment of the Pony Express Trail route. Learn some history of the area. Option to tour the remains of Fort Churchill on your own after the hike. Learn some history of the area. Snowshoe north of Incline Lake. Call for time. We will be skirting the private land of Incline Lake to a 10,000ft peak just south of relay peak. Mostly cross country depending on the course of snowmobile trails. Learn about snowmobile impacts in the Mt. Rose Wilderness as well as general wilderness issues. About 6 miles RT, 1500 ft. gain. Tour of the Terraced Hills. We will hike and drive the area north of Pyramid Lake, taking in splendid views of the lake and surrounding peaks.
