Tahoe Regional Planning Agency threatened by new law.
Unfortunately for the fabled waters of Tahoe, the Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval signed a bill sponsored by NV Senator Lee (Democrat from Las Vegas) designed to destroy the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency in favor of sharply increased development desired by real estate interests.

Over 17 lakes and reservoirs in California and Nevada are already infested with Quagga and Zebra mussels.  The damage is in the billions of dollars.  Clogged water intake pipes.  Boat engines ruined.  Beaches made unusable by razor sharp shells and a horrible stench. Check out our recent work on the Chapter funded project.

The federal government is constructing walls in all four border states with Mexico and these walls are greatly and negatively affecting wildlife and the borderland habitat upon which they depend.  This is a regional issue being addressed by the Club's border state Chapter's in a new video.  You can learn about the fence and see the video here.
